This policy explains what information Last Name Generator (lastnamegenerator.online) collects when you use the site, and what we do with it. The short version: you don’t need an account, we don’t ask for your name or email, and the names you save stay on your own device.
What we collect
We don’t ask you for any personal information. When you visit, some technical information is handled automatically:
- Server logs. Like almost every website, our hosting provider records basic request details such as your IP address, browser type, the page you asked for and the time. These logs are used to keep the site running and secure, and are kept only for a limited time.
- Visit statistics. We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count page views and see which pages are popular. It does not use cookies and does not track you across other websites.
- Security and performance. The site is delivered through Cloudflare, which may process your IP address and set a short-lived security cookie to block spam and attacks.
Names you save
When you tap the heart on a name, it is saved in your browser’s local storage on your device. It is never sent to us. You can remove saved names in the Saved names panel or by clearing your browser’s site data. Files you download (TXT or CSV) are created in your browser.
Cookies
The generator does not need cookies to work, and we don’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Cloudflare may set a strictly necessary security cookie as described above.
Who we share information with
We don’t sell or rent your information. Technical data is processed only by the services that run the site:
- Hostinger, our web host.
- Cloudflare, for security, speed and visit statistics.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it.
Where the name data comes from
Real surnames come from the US Census Bureau’s public 2020 surname file. Fantasy names are invented by the tool. None of this data is about you.
Children
The site is suitable for all ages and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13.
Your rights
Because we don’t collect your name, email or an account, we usually hold no personal information that can identify you. Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, UK or California), you may have rights to access or delete personal data. Email us at tarisdavid34@gmail.com and we will help.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site handles information, we will update this page and the date at the top.
